Named for La Selva Beach, the stretch of Northern California coast where it all began, La Selva Studio now brings that same feeling of relaxed, boutique hotel elegance into homes anywhere. Born from a love of fine, boutique hotels and the pampered ease that accompanies them, I design elegantly scaled linen fabrics for the room you won’t want to leave.

About La Selva Suite
La Selva Suite is a natural extension of the fabric line: a custom interior design service for the bedrooms and living spaces you don't want to leave. As a certified window treatment specialist, I design coverings for windows of every shape and size, from grand French doors to the smallest accent window, so every view feels considered. Born from clients asking for rooms that go beyond the generic, La Selva Suite layers fine bedding, window treatments, art, and upholstered furnishings into something quietly sophisticated, bringing the boutique hotel experience home.
About the Linen
Flax is one of the world's most sustainable raw materials, and even after use, linen fabric is completely biodegradable. Our printing process is also easy on the environment. Our linen fabrics are digitally printed using water-based inks and our fabrics are finished using heat and pressure instead of chemicals. We also print to order eliminating wasted yardage which can occur with stocked product.
Our patterns are printed on either 100% Belgian Linen in Natural or 100% Belgian Linen in Oyster. Both fabrics have a beautiful hand and very smooth finish.

Rooted in a love for traditional design and inspired by the layered, tailored feeling of a favorite boutique hotel stay, La Selva Studio creates textiles that are classic but distinctive. Our pattern collections are colorful, livable, and designed to awaken your interior spaces and make them feel like a destination.

Every design begins with a sketch or photo, growing into patterns and unfolding into stories. Our fabrics are created to be layered together, giving you a custom look and creating your own personal expression.
About the Designer
A self-taught pattern designer, Kathleen Gretz was trained as a graphic artist and later, an interior designer. Combining the best of both worlds, she has created a line of textiles designed for enhancing every space with color and pattern. Inspired by the polish of a favorite boutique hotel stay and the relaxed elegance of the California coast where the studio began, Kathleen’s patterns explore color, scale, and the art of expressing personality and pride in one’s home. She strives to bring joy, identity, and energy into each pattern without sacrificing sophistication.
About the Windows
